I was at Sears one day with my husband. A guy came in with several craftsman tools which had been abused badly. He received new tools!! I was shocked. After the guy left, I asked the clerk about it. He said that some people go to auctions and yard sales, buy old tools, and bring them in for replacement. I had never heard that one!
