We certainly give stuff away. We donate our outgrown and outdated clothes, household items, toys, etc. to Goodwill and Purple Heart. When you have a kid who grows as fast as mine, you fill those give-away bags pretty quickly.

On the flip side, we also shop at Goodwill and another local thrift shop, so we benefit from other people's give-away stuff. No need to pay more that $4 or $5 for jeans, especially for my daughter who will outgrow them in a few months anyway.
