The CR best buys were a Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive (35922), A Eureka Boss Smart Vac Ultra 4870, and the Kenmore Progressive 25512. Other high scoring and cheaper vacuums were the Hoover Tempo Widepath U5140-900, and the Bissel PowerForce 3522-6. For cat hair, the Kenmore progressive scored really high and so did quite a few Hoover models.
