Since my DIL is an educator, I appreciate what she does a lot. But it is a tough job these days in a lot of schools. I hope she always has a school district that appreciates taking care of both educators and kids. With my daughter, it was more verbal abuse. It made her cry and not want to go to school. I don't understand what is happening to the schools. Take out physical education and the energy goes elsewhere. And it appears that respect for teachers and one another is out the window. A schoolteacher friend who retired said the parents were worse than the kids and she got tired of dealing with them. My DIL works for a rural district that seems to have a great attitude with family and community.
