I have to tell you what a frustrating process opening the account with Emigrant was. I elected to use my passport number vs my DL number because I happened to have it handy. Once the confirmation process was completed I then was informed that I had to photocopy my passport, provide a cover letter and print out the confirmation page to complete the application. I called and was told there was no way I could change my form of ID after the fact. So I tried to do it their way. When I attempted to print out the confirmation page from their print button it took me back to their homepage. So I called again, now she wanted me to download the confirmation page through adobe blah blah blah. I already had enough at this point so I cut and paste it sent then a curt note explaining how frustrating it was to open an account with a bank that wanted your business etc. and faxed away. I will keep you posted as to whether or not they actually want my money....
