Another thing to do is not get full meals. Just get a main course. Or maybe get 2 or 3 appetizers as your meal. Bring some friends and share meals so you get to try different things without having to pay for all of them. And drink tap water. If you get soft drinks or alcohol, that really inflates your bill.

Another thing to consider is getting a credit card that pays good rewards for dining. Our Marriott Visa Premier card gives double points for restaurants. I know there are some other cards that do too.
