Default Re: I need a good brownie recipe...

Here's my DH's grandmother's recipe...it's very cake-like, so if you are looking for fudgy, this might not be the one for you. My MIL makes these a lot and always adds a little something, either some raspberry jam and chocolate frosting on top, or peppermint patties crushed up in the middle. You can also add chocolate chips, walnuts, etc - whatever sounds good.

Brownies
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 Tbsp cocoa (or a little more...)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup flour
Mix together, bake in 9 inch square pan (greased) at 350 degrees (I don't know how long - I neglected to write it down!)
