I'm a full time college student, and I work part-time as a cashier at Wal-Mart. After I graduate, I plan to teach math in some high school in NYC.
My husband is a wedding videographer. He's legally blind, and I swear I still don't know how he does the videotaping part, but he certainly loves editing. He can sit at his computer (which has a giant monitor so he can see it) for hours without taking a break, just editing away. I could never do it. I have no patience for tediousness, lol. He's got a BS in Electronic Media/Broadcasting, and when we move to NYC, he hopes to get a job doing some sort of editing work, on a television show, movies, or in sports. There's a wide range of things he can do with his degree, but from what I hear, NYC is in desperate need for teachers, so I'm most confident in my ability to find a job when we move.
P.S. The main reason we're moving to NYC is since my husband is legally blind, he can't drive, which is why he works from home for now. I have to take off from work or his parents occasionally help out and drive him to any weddings he does. In NYC he'll be able to take advantage of the subway and get to places on his own, which is very important to him for his sense of independence, and not feeling like a child having to ask me to drive him anywhere he needs to go.
