Well, it still sounds like you picked the best offer. Don't beat yourself up about the mistake. I'm sure you aren't the first. I'm guessing it only cost you a few hundred dollars in extra commission on $3000. You would have paid more than that out if your house had been on the market for a long time...extra mortgage payment and utilites would have been more than the mistake.
Just trying to put a postive spin on it!!
