I was told by a plumber years ago that anything with caffiene (I am a bad speller sorry if that is wrong) will break the stuff up and make it wash down. I don't know but that is what I was told.

Also vinegar and baking soda will clear it out. It makes a cool bubbling action. Pour baking soda in... when the drain is dry.... then pour the vinegar slowly in... keep pouring in until it no longer bubbles. Then I flush with bleach water.
