No personal experience here
but many high rollers will open a line of credit with a casino. That eliminates the need to carry huge wads of cash (and get mugged in the parking lot). Plus they get "rated" for their betting activity which gives them a ton of freebies (cash, discounts, hotel stays, dinners, etc.).
EDIT: Cashier checks are an option too.
