We had a Sonicare once. It was OK, but we didn't derive enough benefit to put up with the costs of replacement heads. When we went to get rid of it, we found that water had been seeping down below the head and into the motor base. Mold had started to grow in there. Ick!
I've asked both my old and new dentists what they thought, and they both said to buy whatever is going to motivate you to brush thoroughly and regularly. If you like SpinBrushes and you're excited to use one, more power to you. If a regular one is fine with you, that's great too.
