Frugal: Bought a crock-pot (on sale, of course) so I can make economical meals this winter.
Unfrugal: Bought the $49 sale model instead of the $29 sale one I intended to buy.

(Yeah, but it's digitally programmable! Automatically shifts to "warm" when it's done! I work long hours so if I bought the cheap one, it would crock the food to death. That wouldn't be very frugal in the long run, now would it?!)
Unfrugal: Instead of using my handy-dandy new crock-pot, I am taking my friend out to dinner tonight for his birthday. It's a tradition. (Don't even bother suggesting that I make dinner for him. The thing is still in the box and my fridge is empty.)
Frugual: My friend takes me to dinner on my birthday. So it's a wash over the course of a year.
