Default Returning Items

I was talking with a friend over the weekend and we went to his garage where there was a whole section of merchandise that had something wrong with it. I asked him why he didn't return it to the store for a refund or exchange and he just said he couldn't be bothered. He had several hundred dollars at a minimum that he lost because he couldn't be bothered!

The Better Business Beurea says "if the goods you have purchased were misrepresented or are defective, you have every reason to expect the store to provide a suitable substitute or refund, or make proper repairs. The laws in all states require a store to make good in such cases."

If you purchase something and it doesn't work properly, make sure you get your refund.
