This is a great article - My spouse is 13 years older than me and getting these arrangements taken care of will likely fall to me. We do have our burial plots purchased and paid for. In this vein, soon will need to get our marker bought and set. Before that happens though, we will be getting our life insurance life in order and more coverage purchased.

So for now it looks like this - some of these run concurrently:
1)mortgage payoff
2)life insurance updated / we are doing this soon as we are getting ready to set up either a family foundation or purchasing an annuity wherein the income will be used to offset/pay the insurance premiums. Researching now - money is already in savings.
3)Wills updated - boy are they out of date!
4)Medical Directives in place
5)Headstones purchased
6)Funeral pre-planning
