I think any account you open will stay on your credit report for a certain number of years whether you have used it or not? Isn't that just stating that you had a loan with such and such, or a card with xxxx. If that is the case, I think it is the credit reporting agency that decides how long to leave lenders on your report, and I think it is probably their industry standard.
