There are many "frugal ways" to show love. My husband gets up and brushes the snow off my car in the am before I go to work. He makes sure my car is full of gas, etc. We can show love for each other by just being attentive to each other's needs. Getting a snack or drink for one another shows love.
Cooking a meal, helping one another, etc. Buying a gift is nice gesture but actions speak louder than words and gifts.
