From my (limited) understanding, the bank would first look at your credit score. If it is high enought, they probably will automatically approve the loan without looking at the details.
If it is less than their minimum requirement, they will most likely take a closer look and look at the entire report and make their decision from there.
Credit card companies I think rely much more heavily on the score. That will determine what card you qaulify for with how big a spending limit and at what interest rate.
