Re: Legalizing Prostitution.
How many parents have kids, but do not raise them(or raise them honorably?) I think thats the problem your after PP, not the goverment.
Teachers aren't parents, and the goverment is not responsible for raising children. If parents raise their kids with dignity and spend more time with them, than infront of their computers, the problem becomes a rare instance.
Back on topic. Lets say the national population is roughly 300 million. 1 million of those are prositutes. If they all owe about $5000 a year avg in taxes. Thats 5 billion dollars that the goverment is losing due to tax evasion. We could easily overspend some of that revenue to create ..lets say $1bin a year to setup a department of adult activity investigation. Poof, thats atleast 5,000 jobs(that chain react to another # of jobs.) Leaving a lot of $ to be spent on other needs. The best part being that this is all domestic revenue.
If the goverment wanted to make a manditory class in school teaching high school students on how to be responsible parents, bam, theres the money to do it.
This is one of the single best ways to ballance the poverty level in this country in one single law change. If anything, I see the upper class being against this because of the small threat to their own value. But as we all know, the upper class can lobby laws in their favor with the best of them.
The more I think about this, the more that Im sold on the idea of constructing a set of laws to make this happen.
