Default Re: Did anyone try this?

Personally, I'd say your going a bit far, but I have a hair thing too...so..go figure.

If you don't have conditionar and you want to do something, this may help. First, don't put lotion in your hair...it will look VERY oily.

Wash your hair and rinse in as hot of water as you can stand. Take a good quality olive oil and work it through your hair. Especialy the ends if that is where you are having problems, cover your hair with plastic, a shower cap, plastic wrap or even a shopping bag. Let it sit on there for at least 20 min. Keep it as warm as possible. Hot hair dryer, heating pad, something....

Rinse in hot water and let it dry as slowly as possible. Personally I wrap it in a towel and sleep in it that way. It's a bit damp and perfect in the morning. Or french braiding it while wet works too.

The ends of my hair, and it's waist length, are never damaged. Not because of this, I've only done it a few times, but because I never blowdry or curl my hair. If you do, then you have to do more to take care of your hair.

Hope this helps.
