Saving $$$ while on a diet ...
Okay, so I'm torn. I'm a big guy, and I'd like to lose weight, but whenever I go to the store all the CHEAP foods and GOOD sales are on fattening, empty-carb-heavy, full-o-filler garbage foods (canned pastas, sugar cereals, frozen dinners) and never on the sort of things that doctors, nutritionists, and fad dieticians all recommend (fruits, veggies, meats, etc.).
Anyone else here ever go on a specialized or doctor-regulated diet, and still find ways to cut costs at the grocery store?
