What you say above is soooo true! I remember many similar conundrums when my kids were younger, including not qualifying for state supported childcare, yet by the time I paid for childcare, I had
less take home than those who had qualified!
Whatever happened to the idea of support services on a sliding scale, so that those on the way up financially still have some support?
