thanks for the article... very handy as we are going through a couple lemons a week making hummus and lemon water... we usually just toss the squeezed rind into a glass of water but now we have other things to try... very cool...
for getting more juice, i heard put it in hot water for a bit and then roll it around...
I've seen my mom keep half a squeezed lemon on the ledge by the sink and use it on her hands right after washing dishes... i think mostly on her nails (she used to work in a beauty salon)... i like all the other uses too... i know a penny mentioned using it for a salad dressing, my mom makes a great chicken salad with lemon juice and some salt and pepper using boiled chicken... and then uses the chicken stock for other stuff....
i also appreciate the mention of zest... i always forget about that... guess i need some work on my frugalness huh?
