How about buying hose with a reinforced toe?
Don't know what hose you like but I would get some real good deals at Marshalls. Another brand called Silkies is available mail order and they are tough. I think there is even a guarantee. Other people I knew loved a brand called Berkshires. These are sold in department stores.
Of course, the BEST solution would be if you were able to wear pants to work.
Personally, the cost of hose is ridiculous.
