Default Mysterious money drain... SOLVED!

I've lived in my apartment for 1 year now, and I was always curious why my electric bill was so high. I live in a 1 BR Apt., with gas heat (paid by landlord), gas stove, and window air conditioner, which i use sparingly.

So this month, with no AC at all, and myself being conscious of turning off the lights, etc., my electric bill was $71!

I had always suspected that the coin-operated washer/dryer in the basement, that is shared between 4 apartments, was connected to my electric bill.

So today I finally confirmed it. I went into the basement and shut off all the power to my apartment at the fusebox. I went into the laundry room, and there was no power!!

AHA!

So, I told my Landlord and she agreed we should do something about this, we are going to discuss it on monday.

My question to all of you... How much should I be refunded?
Assuming:
-1 year (actually 14 months) of overpaying on electric...
-the monthly (ongoing) cost of electric laundry for 4 apartments...

How much seems right? My estimate would probably be between 20 and 30 a month, does this seem right?

Here is my electric bill history. My friends tell me their electric bill is usually 35-40/month...

$72.70 4/26/2006
$59.69 3/16/2006
$69.33 2/27/2006
$72.75 1/26/2006
$57.80 12/27/2005
$58.44 11/28/2005
$96.40 10/28/2005

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!!
