Those people were from my city! They showed them on the news this morning delivering an apology, but it doesn't do any good, IMO.
Stealing from others is wrong. A lot of people who give to causes like that do so out of the kindness of their hearts, not because they happen to have extra money lying around... so their financial hardship is no reason to deceive others.
It is very sad.
