Thanks - too bad most of these don't do me any good as I don't pump my own gas. I live in Oregon where all stations are full serve by law.

I also don't have to worry about it getting hot this time of year, and I don't have a garage.

Instead I save by being aware of the prices and trying to go to the cheaper stations. They vary by location. Also, I get a 10 cent per gallon discount at Fred Meyer, with my card, provided I've bought enough groceries.

By the way, I think it would be really helpful to people if you could quantify how much money they'd save on gas (or at least, how many gallons they'd save) by using these techniques. Just seeing them, I think "Oh, that might save me two cents, so why bother?" Some figures would be really motivating.
