Default Re: What did dinner cost?

Our grandparents were smart in using leftovers to save money, weren't they? Of course it probably was out of necessity for many of them. I love counting how much each meal cost when I make it at home and seeing how reasonable. We recently went to Florida and stayed at Disneyworld -- I had a conference there. The first night we ate at a restaurant that wasn't fancy -- a step above Long John Silver's -- and the cheapest thing on the menu was $16.95 before tax and tip. It was a grilled chicken breast, portion of mashed potatoes, some veggies, a little bread and oil and then the iced tea was over $2.00 a glass. We spent over $40 for a very bland meal! We were shocked at how high these prices were and that if you didn't rent a car to leave the Disneyworld area, you were basically going to pay through the nose or do without eating. Yikes!
