Way too much!!
I live with my fiance, and both of us work full time. (He in the Navy.) I hate to use it as an excuse, but we are home so little. It's just easier to grab a bite out - and so we do. If I had to guess, it's probably 5-7 meals a week! I know it's bad...but we do try to use coupons, I order water, etc. I've thrown out so many groceries in the past that I often wonder how much money I was really saving back then... We typically eat out about three times during the week (or order in) and the rest on the weekend. This includes lunches, of course. I try to eat at home or bring my lunch as much as possible.
We need to be more disciplined, and plan ahead. This is easier said than done. I tutor math about 2 days a week, and he goes to the gym for 2 hours a DAY. We can curb our minimal lunches, but need to focus on a dinner solution.
Has anyone tried Rachel Ray's 30-minute meals book???
