I have a juicer that I use on a fairly consistent basis. I picked it up at a garage sale for a couple of dollars and works fine. I don't think that it will save you a lot of money, especially if you take into consideration the time it takes to make the juice. But the taste is fantastic. It's much fresher than what you can by at the store with a lot more flavor. I'm not sure if that would be good or not in your situation. The taste may be too strong for you little one.

What I would do is look for a juicer at a garage sale, borrow one from a friend for a few days or put a request in at freecycle. Then you can give it a try and you're not out the price of a new expensive model if the little one doesn't like the taste.
