I think young people today think they DESERVE to start out with what their parents ended up with so go in headfirst to get everything right now without a thought for tomorrow. CC's are so easy to get and use for everything, and you know you have to keep up with the Jones don't you ?
Seriously though, I'm sure others have read my post about my MIL and that side of my family, they are blowing my minds, I thought WE had debt! We do save regularly but also owe a substancial amount on the mortgage, but the farm IS our retirement. The rest of the family thinks since we have a farm we're rich
I haven't bought new clothes in years, I garden and we raise our own beef, our trucks are 11 years old and paid for and we SAVE.
The other families? Nice houses with BIG mortgages, new vehicles with HUGE payments, etc, etc, etc
Yep, gotta have it today even if you can't pay for it until tomorrow!
