We buy *almost* everything used.
My husband wears Docker's pants to work. He was in need of a few more pair recently. Docker's had a deal for Father's Day running....$33 per pair plus about $10 in tax and $10 in shipping, making 3 pair a total cost of $120. Still not a good deal, but he needed them.
I just happened to find 3 pairs of almost new Docker's in the colors he likes in his exact size at a yard sale for $3 each. One pair hadn't even been worn, the other two looked like they had only been washed once or twice as the tags were still firm.
So, I saved $111 by yard sale-ing!
I buy pretty much 100% of my kids' clothing second hand.
