I second the suggestion to contact your local Parents as Teachers program. I used to work for them. We did in-home visits with parents and preschoolers to show them how to use play to get the most educational value. It really is a great program that brings you a wealth of information for free. It's for everyone - no income guidelines or checks; in fact, a lot of our clients were teachers and their children. Of course, we had our share of those recommended to us by Children and Youth Services as well. The program has something for everyone.
