Yep, eBay is really good for things that ship easily. I sold a little glass ornament thingy on there and the fellow who bought it swore it would break, but I swaddled that thing in bubblewrap and everything I could find and it made it through the mail. But I really like the idea of having a group to do this locally. Better than Craig's list if the people are truly neighbors, because you're less apt to get the um, interesting, people who sometimes want to come take a look at things, LOL! But I've had lots of luck with Craig's list too. There's Freecycle, also, for things that you can't sell but don't want to just throw away, if you have a group in your city.
