One of the best investing resources I've ever seen is on Morningstar's website. You can learn about stocks, bonds, mutuals funds, etc. starting from the ground up. You can learn quite a bit about how to value investments as well as understand your risk aversion too. Another excellent resource is Benjamin Grahm's, "The Intelligent Investor."
