All joking aside though, I don't know that I would go so far as too move out of the house. I would not share the same drinks / dishes with him (unwashed), but then again I would not drink after him even if he was not sick.
I've always thought people wearing the dust mask was really kind of silly. Dust mask are good for particulate matter such as "dust", but I kind of doubt their ability to fend off viruses.
It'd be a good practice to limit the time your in extremely close proximity to him, no snuggling on the couch, but I don't think being in the same room is so much of a problem.
I'd also put extra effort in just general house keeping chores. Also open up the windows and doors, let a little sun shine and fresh air in!
I would not spend much time worrying about the boss.
Mono can have an incubation period of a couple of months. So if you were infected today, it may be a while before it really shows. Maybe someone with a medical back ground can chime in.
