Your thread reminded me that we had a certificate for 1 night in a cat1-4 Marriott hotel that was due to expire in 3 months--sooo I scheduled a weekend on Long Island.
This past weekend, we flew up to Long Island and used our free night at the Marriott Islandia.
We did a little shopping and a little sight-seeing (went out to Montauk and climbed the lighthouse, saw TRs Sagamore Hill) and we relaxed a little bit. It was a little cold (and on Sunday a little cold and rainy), but it was a lot of fun.
