My Father often told me that the cheapest items are not worth the price because you get poor quality, so the item doesn't last as long as you need it to. Buying the highest price item makes no sense because you are paying more for the name than for the quality. Get something in the mid-price range and look at how it was made. Look for the item to be on sale. Take care of it. Thats how he got decent cars and suits and a grill, and they lasted a long time.
