My guess is that you have a lot of little leaks. That was my problem for a long time. I would have $40 in my purse at the beginning of the day and $10 at the end and have no idea where that $30 went.

It's that or you have one expense that is more than you can afford. I had good friends that had a house payment that was just too large for their income. They bought it with everything thet had assuming that they would both continue to get raises and then when one stopped working and the other's pay dropped, thier house payment was taking over 50% of thier income.

It is a terrible feeling when you know you are working hard (and your husband) and still can't make ends meet. I've been frugal all my life and found myself in deep debt due to medical expenses. It's still a shock to me. But you can't deny the fact and you have to tackle it. It's frustrating and doesn't seem fair, but it makes you stronger.
