The following items never go to waste:
Whole grain bread, fresh fruit, peanut butter, pasta and oatmeal.
The following we like but ocassionally (ok, often) go to waste due to poor planning
(not cooked on time, not frozen on time, not eaten on time)
Grains like lentings, black beanS and spleat pea
Chicken, salmon and the ocassional steak
I like enhancing the above with eggplant, zuchini, pumpkin, brocoli and green beans.
I recently got into wild rice.
I am trying to do too much at the same time.
I think I will just keep on cooking multiple portions and freezing, thus building a little collection. If the items I need are on sale, great.
When I get more on the swing of things I can move up to Coupon 101.
Right now I am on cooking every other day and bulk freeze 101. ..
