Another really romantic/sweet thing that happened to me. About two years ago I started talking to this guy on the internet. We met through a christian singles website. Eventually he drove nearly 10 hours to come meet me. We really hit it off, and continued to talk and email on a daily basis. I decided that I wanted to go see his stomping grounds. So when school was out for the summer, I drove nearly 10 hours. Before I left he told me that when I got there he'd have three surprises for me. He wouldn't tell me what they were no matter how much I begged.
When I got to a town about 30 minutes from where he lives, I called him to let him know where I was. He told me to meet him in the Walmart parking lot so I could follow him home. When I got there, he got out of his car and handed me a single red rose (1st surprise) Then after a little hugging and kissing, I had my second surprise. His friend Bob got out of the car. Scott (the internet guy) had asked him to come along and drive his car back so that Scott could ride with me.
The third surprise came after Bob had left. Scott asked me to be his girlfriend.
He really was a great guy, but I was only his second relationship (in 38 years) and he still maintained some pretty unrealistic expectations for a reltionship, as well as for other people around him.
