This is probably quite true. I'd pay because being self-employed leaves you with an irrational fear of an audit. You think "I know this is deductible, but what if I'm wrong?". I'd figure under $100 is so much better than it could be, you know?
Now that we are both employed by outside agencies, I'd ask more questions.
