Excellent article.
We have family dinners most nights. I grew up in a house where we always sat at the table together for dinner. Dh ate mostly on a tray in front of the t.v...very hard habit to break him of, but once our firstborn came along, I insisted. Now the t.v. is off during dinner, but it's still hard for him not to answer the phone if we're eating. I assume if it's important the caller will leave a message and we'll call right back. Dh is afraid we'll miss an emergency call...
