Default RE work at home scams

Quote:
Do they charge a fee? - If so, it is a scam. A legitimate company will not charge you to work for them. Period.
This statement is accurate in the "work from home" world only if you are an employee working for a company. There are two types of stay at home jobs:
1. you work for someone else's business as an employee
2. you work for yourself as the business owner.

1>You should never have to pay your "employer" for the right to work for them. That's a scam for sure!

2> However, the idea of becoming a business owner or employer with zero dollars out of pocket is equally as silly.

Franchising is a perfect example.
McDonalds will charge you a Million dollars just to use their franchise name, then you have to build your own store, then you have to hire highschoolers at minimum wage before you can sell your first Big Mac for $3.00.
Who here thinks that a McDonalds is a scam or "not legitimate"?

Those who do not have millions to invest in a "Home based business" simply have to decide how much they are interested in spending and do their homework. People become home based business owners with as little as 300 to 500 dollars.
My wife and I bought a home based business wth the "right" to distribute "franchise products" for $300 seven years ago so she could stay at home with the kids. Beware of "get rich quick schemes"! Our business is Work! But my wife is a hard enough worker that I may not be able to afford to keep my job at the hospital. I'll soon have to be a homeschooling dad!
Good luck and beware the schemes!
