My hubby has turned our heat on a couple of times to warm up. He looks at me like I'm crazy when I ask him why he is turning it on as I'm hot. But alas, I'm a woman of "a certain age"
and tend to be hot alot!
On the utility front though, our water bill has gone down significantly! our old washer/dryer combo broke down (flooding the house and basement in the process). I was sick so hubby went and bought a new washer on his own and got one of those European front loading washer/dryer combos that is all in one machine--$1700 GULP! But the water savings has proved it will pay for itself and the electric bill went down too, but hard to tell if it was because the AC was off more or because I still was hanging stuff out to dry when I could. Now if there was just some way of avoiding winter and the high heat bills!
