After we got home, I checked the receipt from the small import grocery we shop at once or twice a month. Tofu was on the receipt, yet we had bought none. Everything we did buy was on the receipt. No one's groceries were on the belt with ours, so no one's tofu got accidentally scanned. This is the first time that I think a grocery clerk has possibly intentionally cheated us. What could have been going on? Husband usually shops there alone; now he will always check the receipt before leaving.
