I hate writing out checks each month, so I also take advantage of the many places that will withdraw my payments directly from my account each month, like car payments, mortgage, insurance, credit cards, phone bills, etc. I just automatically write down the amounts at the first of the month in my check book and subtract it from my balance so that I don't forget that it will be taken out.
