How about "Buying what you "Want" often results in "Needing" what you can't buy"
When I first started on my road to frugality I saw this saying on the internet somewhere , can't remember where now , but I wrote this down on a piece of paper and kept it in my purse for the longest time. Whenever I went out and about if there was something that I wanted it would always be in my subconcious and I would think....do I really need this? Is there something at home which I might be able to use instead and save the extra $ or if I buy this and the kids might get sick and "Need" medicine etc.....
Amazing what a few choice words can do
