I haven't posted to this thread for a while. Honestly, I've done some rather unfrugal things the past couple of weeks but I'm trying to get back on track.
Gas is cheaper near my office than it is near home, so I always try to fill up when I'm near work. Yesterday, my wife mentioned that she needed gas. I told her we'd swap cars today and I'd get gas in her van to save a little money. Neither of us has to go out of our way. Both vehicles get similar mileage. So no downside to doing this.
Gas was 6 cents/gallon cheaper and I got 15 gallons, so I saved $.90. Not a huge amount of money but if I do this every time she needs gas, it can certainly add up over the course of a year.
