I have sold on eBay, too. You really can make some extra money doing this. I sold all my old text books because they were just sitting down stairs. In doing so, I made enough money to buy a wonderful closet organizer my my closet. Now everytime I walk in my closet, I see where my old books went, and it is used everyday;rather sitting downstairs. So, if you have unused items, not being used, or cutter you would like to remove, eBay is a good way to make it all go away, and make some money at the same time.
Also, I sold beaded earrings on ebay. Now I sell my earrings in a local store and make even more money. I have a booth in the back of a nice coffee shop and make even more money there than eBay on them, and it is so fun!
However, I save all the money I make this way, buy something big so I see it everyday and use often. For example, I bought a nice folk art looking cabinet for my dinning room;that way I see where my money went on my craft, or I blew it on something I don't see and this way it makes me feel good knowing my earrings and hard work went on something I use everyday!
Also, I see someone has tutored durning the summer. I have done this also. I tutored in a Phonic program for students that need help in reading, writing, and spelling. It is a special program that required special training. It is used mainly for children or adults that are dyslexic.
I couldn't keep up with all the students I had! I had made a room in my basement just for tutoring, and wow! I had cars going in and out of my driveway all the time. However, it is getting the money from them that can be a challenge. Now days, it cost around $35 an hour for this type of tutoring, and some families, just have a hard time pulling that off, and yet their child needs it. So, what I did, was get a job right in a school. I am now a para in a public school in a speical ed setting and love it. However, tutoring is always a back up for me, or if I choose to do it during the summer.
I hope I helped.
